We have four games Wednesday evening in the Championship the first one we will look into comes from Elland Road where Leeds host Norwich, when the two teams met at Carrow Road earlier on in the season it ended 1-1. Fast forward three months and Leeds are sitting top of the league on 56 pts and Norwich in 11th with 36 pts.
Daniel Farke’s team are never shy of getting on the scoresheet in their last 10 games in all competitions they haven’t failed as well as a impressive nine game unbeaten run in the league.
Norwich’s four game unbeaten run in the league came to a end at the weekend when getting beat 2-0 away at Sheffield Utd, Johannes Thorup team had picked up maximum points at home to Millwall (2-1), away at Luton (1-0), at home to Coventry (2-1) and they shared the points at home to QPR (1-1). The next game comes from Fratton Park where John Mousinho’s Portsmouth side take on Stoke, the homeside currently sit in 22nd in the league on 26 pts and Stoke in 18th on 28 pts. This is a big game at the bottom as there’s only 2 pts separating the relegation zone and Stoke so a win would be massive for both clubs but more so Pompy.
Fratton Park has been a happy place for fans winning their last three in the league there against Coventry (4-1), Swansea (4-0) and more recently against Middlesbrough (2-1). They will be hoping midfielder Callum Lang can add to his 9 goal tally this season.
Stoke arrive at this game on the back of three draws in the league, Mark Robin’s team had goalless draws away at Burnley and Stoke, then more recently away at West Brom (1-1). They have been extremely reliant on striker Thomas Cannon who has netted 9 goals this campaign. This looks to be a cagey game that could go either way. Kick off 7.45pm.

Next on the fixture list is Sheffield Wednesday at home to Bristol City being played at Hillsborough. This looks to be another extremely tight game on paper with both clubs level on points in the league in 9th and 10th respectably. Danny Rohl’s Wednesday side have only one win in their last five league games, beating Derby 4-2 at home, drawing 3-3 at Middlesbrough, 2-2 at home to Millwall and then losing games to Preston 3-1 and more recently 3-0 away at Leeds.
Bristol City’s four game unbeaten run in the league came to an end at the weekend when they lost 1-0 away to Coventry, previously to that they had won three at home and drawn one away. This game has a few goals in it.

Last on the billing is a televised game from Home Park where Plymouth host Burnley. The homeside are currently sitting at the foot of the table and 5 pts from safety, the last win for Miron Muslic’s came on Guy Falks night when they beat Portsmouth 1-0 at home and then they have only picked up 6 pts. A win here would be a massive one but they meet a team in much better form.
Burnley find themselves sitting 3rd in the league and only three points behind the leaders having been on a 14 game unbeaten run. Scott Parker’s team have had a great season up to now and recently got through to the 4th round of the FA Cup after beating Reading 3-1 away. The visiting fans will fancy their chances of making the long trip down to the coast a winning one and putting more pressure on the top two.
