Defending Champion Jannik Sinner and current World Number 1 is looking to hit the ground running. He picked up both hard court slams in 2024 winning the US Open also beating Taylor Fritz in straight sets in September. Last year’s Melbourne final went down to the wire with Sinner coming back from two sets down to beat Daniil Medvedev 3-2. At the age of 23 he looks to be one of the next big stars of the sport.

Alex Zverev, World Number 2, managed to get to last year’s Semi-final in Melbourne losing to Medvedev in five sets. He had a good record on hard court last season winning 29 times and gaining one title. Now aged 27 he has heaps of experience on the tour so will look to better last year’s exit.

The young Spanaird Carlos Alcaraz who’s only 21 will be looking to make his presence felt this season. Mainly known for his talent on Clay he will look to get further than last year’s Quarter Final exit. In last year’s other hard court slam in the US he got no further than the second round.

We can’t forget the past World No 1 Novak Djokovic, arguably his best days are behind him now at 37 but the last of the Federer, Nadal Murray quartet will be looking to use his experience to his advantage. His only hard court Grand Slam last season came in the US where he got no further than the third round. He will be hopeful of getting to the later stages of this seasons opener.

British No 1 Jack Draper will lead the lineup for the Men’s singles off the back of the best campaign of his career. In September he reached his first Grand Slam semi-final at the US Open and rose to the top 15 players. Coming into this year having won two ATP Titles and reaching the final in Adelaide in the last 12 months.
