We don’t have a full midweek fixture list this week so in today’s article we will preview the three matches between the Premiership and the Championship. We will start with the game on Tuesday which is from Deepdale where Preston host Millwall, Paul Heckingbottom’s side are level on points with their opponents.
The homeside have gained four points from their last two games beating Norwich away (0-1) and then more recently a goalless draw at home to Burnley. The visitors Millwall had put a four game winning run together including a FA Cup fourth round away victory to Leeds (0-2) together but that ended at Plymouth last where. We have two fixtures on Wednesday the first coming from Villa Park where Aston Villa host league leaders Liverpool, Unai Emery’s side have only been beaten in the league once at home all season but they arrive into this game without a win in the last four games. The visitors Liverpool are seven points clear in the Premiership at present, Arne Slots made up for their disappointing last minute slip up to local rivals Everton with a victory at home to Wolves on Sunday (2-1) thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah.
This has the potential of being a good game of attacking football, when the two sides met earlier in the season at Anfield it ended 2-0 to Liverpool with goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohammed Salah. Slot will hope for the same here. Kick off 7.30pm.

They were massive underdogs at home to Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round where they won (1-0) which gives their fans a boost having been battling for survival.
Miron Muslic’s side did suffer a away loss to Blackburn at the weekend (2-0) but they will hope they can get the home and away double over their opponents here having beaten them 3-1 at Home Park. Kick off 7.45pm Live on Sky Sports.
