We have just the two matches from the Premier League this Sunday, first off is from Anfield where top of the table Liverpool host strugglers Wolves. Arne Slot’s Liverpool side are seven points clear of chasers Arsenal and ten points clear of third place Forest after 24 games.

The home form at Anfield this season has been one game short of an unbeaten record, their only loss was to Forest back in September where it finished 1-0 to the away side. They came back from a goal down to rivals Everton mid-week only to concede a 98th minute equaliser. It didn’t end there with both teams getting a man sent off in the 13th minute of injury time. It hadn’t been a great few days for Slot’s side who suffered a shock defeat in the FA Cup to bottom of the Championship side Plymouth (1-0).

This looks a much easier game and the homeside will fancy their chances of getting maximum points with top scorer Mohamed Salah looking to add to his 22 goal record this season. When the two sides met at Molineux earlier in the season it ended 2-1 to Liverpool with Salah getting a goal.

The visitors Wolves climbed out of the relegation zone with a win against local rivals Aston Villa 2-0, they now sit two points clear of 18th Leicester but with two tough away games now here and at Bournemouth that cushion could slip if Leicester pick up some points.

They reached the last 16 of the FA Cup with a victory away to Blackburn (0-2) to set up an away visit to Bournemouth next. The priority for Vitor Pereira will be to remain in the top flight of football though. Kick off 2pm Live on Sky Sports.

The second game of the day comes from the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium where they host Man United, Ange Postecoglou’s side suffered two cup exits in the space of a week getting knocked out of the EFL Cup Semi-Final to Liverpool and then a FA Cup fourth round defeat to Aston Villa 2-1. The homeside have lost six games at home this season and currently in 14th in the table is well below the clubs expectations. Big money signing Dominic Solanke has goaled 7 goals this season but it’s James Maddison who’s leading the clubs top scoring table with 8 goals albeit scoring against the smaller clubs in the league.

The visitors Man United are two points ahead of their opponents here in 13th, but Ruben Amorim has yet to put his stamp on the club yet. He sent Marcus Rashford out on loan to Villa but mainly feel he won’t be coming back to the club and a replacement will be made in the summer transfer window. The Reds suffered a 2-0 defeat at home Palace in their last league game but bounced back with an FA Cup victory to reach the last 16 where they beat Leicester 2-1.  Amorim’s team have got Everton away after this game which isn’t an easy game either so a win here would boost confidence for an underachieving side this term. Kick off 4.30pm Live on Sky Sports.
