We have four non televised games from the Championship Tuesday evening the first being from the Coventry Building Society Arena where Coventry host QPR. Frank Lampard’s team are one place above Coventry in the table with only goal difference separating the two clubs. Coventry had a bit of a purple patch through January winning four consecutive games in the league but will come into this match having lost the last two at home to Leeds (0-2) and then a FA Cup fourth round exit to Ipswich (1-4).

Lampard has been using the forward partnership of Brandon Thomas-Asante and Ellis Simms who have 8 goals between them so far this season. The homeside are still without top scorer Haji Wright, the American has been on the sidelines since last year.

The visitors could only draw at Loftus Road when the two sides met earlier in the season (1-1), but since Marti Cifuentes’s side got knocked out of the FA Cup third round to Leicester they have won three of their last five in the league. They had victories away to bottom of the table Plymouth (0-1) and Hull (1-2) before two defeats at home to Sheffield Wednesday (0-2) and away to Millwall (2-1). The last game they beat playoff challengers Blackburn at Loftus Road (2-1). We can expect a close game here as the league table suggests. Kick off 7.45pm.

Next game for us to look at is from Fratton Park where Portsmouth host Cardiff, John Mousinho’s side are in 20th in the table and only two points above the relegation zone. They are without a win in four games having lost to West Brom away (5-1), at home to Millwall (0-1), a home draw to Burnley (0-0) and more recently a defeat away to second place Sheffield United (2-1).

The visitors Cardiff will look to get the home and away double over Pompey after beating them 2-0 earlier in the campaign, Omer Riza’s side sit 19th in the league and only a point ahead of their opponents here. They suffered a thrashing away at top of the table Leeds (7-0) but have since knocked Stoke out of the fourth round of the FA Cup on penalties. This is expected to be a tight affair with both teams not far from the drop zone. Kick off 7.45pm.

We next have a game from Vicarage Road where Watford host top of the table Leeds, Tom Cleverley’s side are 10th in the table but only three points from the playoffs so they still have a chance if they turn their poor run of form around. They are without a win in four, losing to Preston at home (1-2), away to Coventry (2-1), at home to Norwich (0-1) before a draw away to Sunderland (2-2).

They face a Leeds side who are unbeaten in 13 league games, Daniel Farke’s side did get beat at Elland Road last weekend to Millwall (0-2) but apart from a draw away to Burnley (0-0) they’d won the other four matches in the Championship scoring a impressive 14 goals and conceding none. The top scorer Joe Piroe will be hoping to add to his 13 goal tally for the season here. Kick off 7.45pm.

The last game of the non televised games of the evening comes from Pride Park with Derby hosting Oxford Utd, Matthew Hamshaw’s side are currently in the bottom three having lost 7 of their last 8 Championship games. They did manage to get a point away at Norwich last weekend but that was down to an injury time penalty scored by Josh Sargent which must have felt like a win. This is a winnable game for the Rams but if they want to stay up they need to get some wins on the board.

They face a newly promoted side Oxford side who are 17th but 9 pts away from the drop zone, Gary Rowett’s side are without a win in their last three games drawing away to Stoke (0-0), at home to Bristol City (1-1) and most recently away to Burnley (1-0). This is expected to be another tight game like it was when the two met earlier in the season where it finished 1-1. Kick off 7.45pm.
