Derek Chisora will have his final heavyweight fight on Saturday 8th February 2025 when he takes on Otto Wallin. The British boxer had his debut professional bout on the 17th February 2007 so it will be nearly 18 years in the game when he takes his final ring walk. Over his 48 career bouts he has fought against the likes of Tyson Fury, David Haye, Vitali Klitschko, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte, Oleksandr Uysk, Joseph Parker, Carlos Takam and Joe Joyce.
The 6ft 1in orthodox has given British fight fans some fantastic entertainment and it would be fantastic for all his supporters going out on a high at the age of 41.
He will be no easy fight for the Brit though as Wallin the 6ft 5in southpaw has only two defeats on his 30 bout professional record losing to Tyson Fury and more recently Anthony Joshua. Tyson Fury required 47 stitches to the cut above his eye after the contest so the Swedish heavyweight’s 78 inch reach will cause Chisora some trouble on fight night.
With age on his side being only 34 he will see this as a good opportunity to use this as a springboard to get in the mix for potential future bouts against the likes of Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce, Frazer Clarke and Fabio Wardley.
