The first of two Tuesday evening games comes from the Cardiff City Stadium where Cardiff welcome Watford for what looks to be a must win game for the homeside. Omer Riza’s team find themselves one from the foot of the table after going on a terrible run from the beginning of November till the end of December, their last three league games have accumulated five points so they will be hoping they can build on that against Watford. Coming into this game on a winning thread also beating Sheffield United in the FA Cup last week.
Watford are in 9th in the league and are pushing to get themselves in the playoffs. Ex player Tom Cleverley’s team aren’t in the best form though losing their last three league games losing 2-1 at home to both Cardiff and Sheffield United and then 3-1 away at QPR. Cardiff will be looking to do the home and away double. However I can see this being a scrappy game and think the best option is betting both teams to score at 10/11 with the leading non UKGC casinos.
Betting for this match: Cardiff 11/8, Watford 21/10 and the Draw 9/4 Kick off 7.45pm
Second game comes from Home Park where Plymouth welcomes Oxford Utd. Miron Muslic finds his Plymouth team at the bottom of the table after a winless run of form. In their last 11 league games they have drawn 4 and lost 7. With a goal difference of -29 that just shows you how their season has gone so far. With a relegation battle most definitely on the cards for them they need to start picking up maximum points from some of their games.
Gary Rowletts Oxford Utd are sitting in 17th in the league and five points away from the bottom three so although they aren’t clear from trouble they aren’t in trouble as it stands. In their last four league games they have picked up maximum points Cardiff, Plymouth, Millwall and then got a point away at Preston which has helped them climb up the table.
This will be a tight encounter but will Plymouth get their revenge on Oxford after a 2-0 loss away last month. Having just beat Premier League side Brentford in the FA Cup, Plymouth should have some confidence and I can see them winning this fixture, 6/4 looks a very fair price with credit card betting sites.
Betting for this encounter: Plymouth 6/4, Oxford 7/4 and the Draw 12/5 Kick off 7.45pm
Just one game comes from the Championship on Wednesday evening and that comes from Ewood Park where Blackburn welcome Portsmouth. John Eustace’s team are currently sitting in 7th in the table and pushing for the playoffs but two draws and three defeats in their last five games have taken them off the boil slightly.
Portsmouth are in 21st in the Championship table and it’s only their goal difference that is keeping them out of the relegation zone. John Mousinho’s team have won one and lost three since Christmas Day, their victory at home to Swansea was a 4-0 victory. The last four league away games for Pompy have resulted in defeats so coming to Ewood Park is going to be an extreme uphill battle for the visitors and the 3/4 advertised with American betting sites for UK looks very appealing.
Betting for this match: Blackburn 3/4, Portsmouth 18/5 and the Draw 13/5 Kick off 7.45pm
