Not all Mondays are gloomy, certainly not for sports fans. Tonight we have two games to look at, the first being Wolverhampton Wanderers who host Nottingham Forest. It will be Nino Espirito Santo’s first return to Molineux since his appointment at Forest in December 2023.
Forest, currently sitting in 3rd are pushing for European football and a win tonight could see them level on points with Arsenal in second place with 40 pts. A 2-0 win at Goodison Park made it five wins on the bounce for them so they come into tonight’s Midlands Derby aiming to win six straight matches in the Premiership since its 1992 rebranding. Chris Wood has been leading the line, his tally currently at 11 goals he has every chance to add to it this evening.
Wolves can always be backed to make the nets bulge at home but they are deprived of their main man Matheus Cunha who faces a two match ban after admitting a FA charge of misconduct for an incident against Ipswich last month. The Brazilian has had a direct hand in almost half of Wolves goals this season scoring ten and assisting four of Wolves 31 efforts.
Alongside Cunha on the sidelines are Sasa Kalajdzic, Enzo Gonzalez, Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore, Pablo Sarabia and Toti Gomes. Mario Lemina is nursing a small injury also but is heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
It looks likely that Jorgen Strand Larsen will start up front for the homeside, currently with seven goals this season he will be looking to break Forest backlined who haven’t conceded in their last three home and away fixtures. Wolves currently sit 17th one above the relegation zone. Second game for us to look at comes from the Championship where QPR play Luton Town at Loftus Road. The homeside have turned their season around over the past month and are well on course to beat the drop, sitting in 15th in the table. In their last four home games the homeside have picked up maximum points and have only lost once in their last seven fixtures home and away. Michael Frey will lead the line for QPR and look to add to his four goals for this campaign too.
Luton on the other hand are on a three game losing streak and with only two wins in their last ten matches. Losing their last nine games away from home this season they really have been woeful to say the least. Currently sitting above the relegation zone in 20th it’s only victories are at home to Derby and Stoke that have two points above the bottom three.
With QPR winning 2-1 at Luton earlier in the season they will be looking to do the home and away double. I think taking the 6/4 on offer at credit card gambling sites is more than fair for QPR to win and recommend a small 1 point wager.
