This week’s news for you to catch up on includes the Horse Racing fixing scandal in the UK as well as the Braggs recent cyber attack.

First of all we will look at the Horse Racing fixing scandal where a 42 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of fixing races under the Gambling Act 2005 which covers cheating at gambling. The arrest was followed after an investigation by both the Greater Manchester Police and the Gambling Commission after some betting activity which was deemed suspicious earlier in the year but the GC has refused to comment further on the matter. 

In other news Bragg plays down the incident on 16th August which involved a cybersecurity breach which has now been confirmed as resolved. The group says no personal data was affected, with no operations and game titles being disrupted. The business also said there was no major financial impact.

In more European news Playbook Fusion has entered the Dutch market via a deal with Bingoal. They are the first operator in the country to launch Playbook Football which is a real money virtual football management game where players can build teams, bet, move up divisions and earn rewards. 

Games Global have partnered with Spin Gaming in Brazil to launch the first live dealer studio which is powered by OnAir. The deal will generate hundreds of jobs as well as the country’s first live casino academy. 

Paf has partnered with the Finnish Ski Association with a long term deal signed till 2030 pending license all cleared. This will cover national teams in cross country skiing, Nordic combined as well as ski jumping also Under 23 and Under 20’s squads. The company will also sponsor the Finnish Cup and World Cup events in Ruka and Lahhti.
