We have the return legs of the Semi-Final on Thursday with two English sides looking to make the Final. The first fixture we will look at is from the Aspmyra Stadion where Bode/Glimt will host Tottenham. The North London side netted from close range after just one minute thanks to Brennan Johnson in the first leg which settled the nerves for the English side, just over half an hour later James Maddison scored to the bottom left corner to take his side in at half time two goals ahead.
On the hour mark Cristian Romero drawed a foul in the penalty box but VAR had to check there was definitely deliberate contact. Dominic Solanke stepped up to take the penalty where he converted it to the bottom corner leaving the keeper with no chance. We had numerous delay’s in the second half but that didn’t bother Ange Postecoglou’s side who were well in control of this match. The visitors managed to get a goal back in the last ten minutes thanks to Ulrik Saltnes who put the ball into the roof of the net in the 83rd minute.
The Norwegian side haven’t had a domestic game since the game in London so they have had time to recover whilst Spurs played away at local rivals West Ham on Sunday. They obviously made some changes for this as they wanted to keep their key players fresh ready for the game in Norway, they took the lead after 15 minutes through Wilson Odobert who scored from the centre of the box. The Hammers hit back just 13 minutes later when Jarrod Bowen scored with his left foot. Both sides had nothing to play for at this late stage of the season and the fixture ended 1-1.
We can expect the contest to start fast in Norway with the homeside looking to chase down a 3-1 deficit on aggregate but the North London side have much more quality on the pitch so a goal would more or less confirm their spot in the final. Kick off 20.00pm Live on Amazon Prime.

The other contest of the evening is from Old Trafford where Man United will host Athletic Bilbao, Ruben Amorim’s side take a three goal lead into this return leg after a 0-3 win in Spain. The deadlock was broken by Brazilian Casemiro on 30 minutes who headed into the top left corner. The Red Devils doubled their lead in 37 minutes when Bruno Fernandez scored from the spot as well as VAR ruling that Bilbao’s Dani Vivian was to be shown a straight red card.
The match was over before half time when Bruno Fernandez scored his second of the game with his right foot to the bottom right corner. There were no further goals in the second half but you’d have to say the English side are well in control of this tie now.
Ruben Amorim opted to make some changes at the weekend for their visit to Brentford where they lost 4-3. They were 4-1 down at one stage but two goals in the final ten minutes made the scoreline more respectable. The Spanish side could only manage a draw away at Real Sociedad on Saturday (0-0) but with four fixtures left of the La Liga season they are pushing for a Champions League spot next season. If they manage to win the Europa League they would automatically get into it but we feel they have given themselves too much of a challenge to pull back a three goal disadvantage here.
