We have Champions League football back Wednesday evening and in this article we will look into the matches which involve the British Clubs.
First of them will be Arsenal who travel over to Spain for their match against Girona. The Spanish side have lost their last four Champions League matches away to PSV (4-0), Sturm (1-0), Milan (1-0) and then at home to Liverpool (1-0). Michel’s Girona’s side currently sit in 8th in La Liga and will hope to have a strong second half to their season and challenge to get into one European position by the end of the season.
The homeside will hope to make it a hard game for the visitors with the advantage of the home crowd.
Arsenal come into this match in 3rd place in the Champions League standings with only one defeat away at Inter (1-0). In the Premiership they sit in 2nd after a 1-0 win at Wolves on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s team will hope they can keep their chance of Cup Silverware going after a third round exit to Man United in the FA Cup and then a Semi-Final exit to Newcastle in the EFL Cup.
Arteta will look to the likes of Kai Havertz (8), Gabriel Martinelli (6) and Bukayo Saka (5) for goals in this tie. Arsenal should be too strong for Girona and we would recommend taking the top price of 8/11 with USA betting sites for them to win. Kick off 8pm.
Match Betting: Girona 19/5, Arsenal 7/10 and the Draw 3/1.
Next up is Liverpool who travel to PSV, the Dutch side managed to hold on 3-2 in their last Champions League game when they took a 3-0 lead in at half time but an early sending off in the second half gave Crvena Zvezda a chance to peg them back.
In the league Peter Bosz’s men are four points clear at the top and not afraid of goal, forwards Ricardo Pepi (11) and Luuk de Jong (9) and midfielder Guus Til (8) have helped the side. Supporters will hope their team can challenge Liverpool with the advantage of playing at home.
Liverpool are unbeaten in the Champions League to date winning all seven of their matches, more recently a 2-1 win at home to Lille. Arne Slot’s team have six points clear in the Premiership and albeit disappointing losing to Spurs in the EFL Cup semi-final 1-0 they are into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The travelling fans will be hoping Mohammed Salah can add to his terrific 19 goal tally for this season. I cannot believe that Liverpool are 7/5 with non UKGC casinos and highly recommend a strong bet! Kick off 8pm.
Match Betting: PSV 15/8, Liverpool 7/5 and the Draw 13/5.
Next up is a British clash where Aston Villa welcomes Celtic to Villa Park, there’s only a point that separates them in the Champions League table but Unai Emery will hope his sides fortress will stay strong, his side have only two defeats at home this season which were to Arsenal 2-0 at the beginning of the season and then to Palace 1-0 in the EFL Cup 4th round.
The team will have to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Monaco last week but the talent of Ollie Watkins (10) and Jhon Duran (7) will be looking to make their presence felt in front of goal.
Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic side won last week at home to Young Boys in their Champions League game and with their league game at the weekend being abandoned due to bad weather it’s given his side some rest time.
Celtic’s great form in the league means their 13 points clear at the top and their only loss was away at chasers Rangers 3-0, Rodgers will hope his forward partners Kyogo Furuhashi (10) and Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn (9) can trouble the Villa defence. Aston Villa look slightly short priced for what is bound to be an end to end game, however both team to score at 8/11 with gambling sites that accept credit cards looks very appealing. Kick off 8pm
Match Betting: Aston Villa ½, Celtic 5/1 and the Draw 10/3.
The last game for us to look at comes from the Etihad where Man City host Club Brugge, Pep’s side haven’t been in great form in this competition only gaining 8 points so far but this is a perfect opportunity to gain three points. They travelled to PSG in their last game in Europe where they were on the end of a 4-2 thumping.
In the league they bounced back with a 3-1 victory at home to Chelsea on Saturday which meant they climbed to 4th in the Premiership and stretched their unbeaten run to 4 wins and 1 draw in the last five games.
Club Brugge are currently sitting in 2nd in the Belgium league three points behind leaders Genk, Nicky Hayen’s side will be hoping to keep the goals at bay for as long as possible but this looks to be a game where the homeside will look to make a statement. This is a huge must win game for Man City so you can expect lots of attacking pressure, however they could be venerable to a counter attack and the best value bet in the game is Man City to win and both teams to score, which is top priced at 13/8 with European gambling sites.
Match Betting: Man City 1/6 , Club Brugge 16/1 and the Draw 8/1 Kick off 8pm.
