We have the Six Nations back this weekend and the first game for us to preview is from the Principality Stadium where Wales host Ireland, Warren Gatland’s side haven’t won a game in this year’s competition. They started with a white wash against France 43-0 and then lost 22-15 to Italy having to always chase the game.
The last victory for the Welsh side was back in November 2023 when they won a friendly against Barbarians 49-26, they have got Scotland and England left to play after this weekend.
They are up against an in-form Ireland squad that have won both their games thus far, Andy Farrell’s side beat England 27-22 and then Scotland 32-18. They are 4 pts clear at the top of the table and hoping to complete the Grand Slam with an easy win here forecast. Kick off Saturday Live on BBC One.

The second game of the day comes from Twickenham where England host Scotland, Steve Borthwick’s side lost their opening game against the Irish but came fighting with a last minute winner against France where it finished 26-25. They went 19-18 ahead in the 71st minute after a conversion from Fin Smith but lost their lead with 5 mins remaining through a try from Louis Bielle-Biarrey.
A Elliot Daly try in the 79th minute brought the game back to a point between them before that man Fin Smith scored the conversion to end the game 26-25. This is going to be an easier game for Borthwick’s side with them going in the clear favourites.
They are up against a Scotland side who beat them in last year’s Six Nations 30-21, Gregor Townsend’s side won their opening game against Italy 31-19 but lost easily to new tournament favourites Ireland 32-18. They have beaten England in the last four matches they have played them in the Six Nations but this weekend’s game will be a lot tougher. Kick off 4.45pm Saturday Live on ITV 1.

The last match of the weekend is from the Stadio Olimpico where Italy host France, Gonzalo Quesada’s side lost to Scotland in the first game 31-19 but beat a poor Wales side 22-15 having always been in control of the game. When the two sides met in last season’s Six Nations it ended 13-13 but they played half the match with an extra man due to Jonathan Danty seeing red. This will be hard for them to keep in touch if France keeps their discipline.
The visitors France will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing last minute defeat to England, Fabien Galthie’s side were in control for most of the game but the crowd got behind England at Twickenham. This is a much easier game and most feel that an onslaught of French attack will be looking to put their Six Nations credentials back on track, they managed seven tries past the Wales side so can they do the same against Scotland? Kick off 3pm Sunday Live on ITV 1.
